2016 Summer

Well Hello Everyone,

It all started May 1, 2015, when we got the Keys to our new store. We gave ourselves 2 months to get the store in the condition we wanted it to be for our opening. We worked tirelessly painting walls, chairs, IKEA trips to the big city, working with contractors and flooring specialists all to ensure a pleasant environment for our fellow yarn enthusiasts. Then it happend. Our soft opening on July 9, 2015. It was the start to a new chapter in our lives and it was a great success.

We spent the next two months getting our barings on how to run a business and coming up with ideas for our Grand Opening in September. Our suppliers donated some door prizes and the Mayor of Elliot Lake performed a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, where many members of our community gathered in support. We were overwhelmed with the love and support we received from our friends, family and local community.

Since then we have expanded our horizons. We have tripled the amount of stock we carry, launched our new E-Commerse website and we have also received the exclusive distribution rights to Canada to import Anny Blatt and Bouton d'OR Yarns from Provence France. It has been a roller coaster ride to say the least.

Now we are launching our new Membership Program. Silver, Gold and Diamond Memeberships. Each membership has a cost accociated with it, along with a number of benefits for our customers. We had a loyalty program last year as well. Every $10.00 you spent before taxes you received a stamp. Once you reached 10 stamps you received $10.00 off your next purchace. This year the membership program offers our customers a chance to save even more money. With the purchase of one of our Membership you receive a discount on products, sales and classes.

We are so thankful for all of the support thus far and look forward to another wonderful year serving Elliot Lake and The North Shore. We would love to hear from you as well, so please feel free to leave a comment.

Sincerely,

Your Local Yarn Shop
